Ducky!!!!!!! Yay!!!! how are you?

You'll both never guess what- I've agreed to go out on a date

With that guy Sweet ?

Yes :nodded: we have so much to chat about, so I think it'll be easy to go to dinner with him. I'm still nervous though- how do people date total strangers?! It must be nerve wracking

It's very nerve wracking!  But only really for an hour beforehand.....culminating in pure panic a few seconds before Once you're in the moment it's not that bad really.

Ok...so what guy? Details please!

Met him while out walking, he has the same type of dog as me and with the same name! So we got talking.. Very chatty, very bubbly, has done a hell of a lot in his life and he's only 32! (I'm 36)

Awwwww! Same dog, same name. It's like the plot of a film

So not a complete COMPLETE stranger! That makes it a teeny bit easier. You might only reach mild panic a few seconds before

You should have suggested a doggy based first date. My older sister went on a dog walking first date once. It went so well, they spent the whole day together. He moved in about six months later...and he moved back out 12 months after that....but the first date was a great success

Speaking of dating related things....

About 7 years ago, when I was in the local pub, I got chatted up by this bloke. He seemed nice, walked me home...tried to convince me to let him come in I said no...he went home. End of story.

A year later at a parent's evening, in he walks....with his wife.

Today, I had to exclude his son (who is now in Y12) for 5 days, so had to meet with him for half an hour to talk about the situation.  It's always extremely weird, cos we just pretend we have never met. We're both very good at it.

Lol!!! Well, we've walked together a couple of times now and the dogs love each other, so we don't have that total stranger panic.

Have you ever met a date that you instantly disliked?
