Our weather is cold, but clear & pleasant, we've had it good for 6/7 days now. I didn't realise that the northern lights were visible last night though!

I've seen pics of them on FB Sweet  It's not been too bad .....today was very sunny 

I'd have driven out & about had I have known, I still wish to see them.

my SIL went to Reykjavik to see the Northern Lights but the weather as too bad - they went for a walk to Reykjavik  and she fell and hurt her ribs

No - I had to go this evening instead of afternoon - there were no knowledgeable staff available - I will try tomorrow afternoon...

I do not envy you. Hate slow moving traffic on a motorway    

Yes ....it's why we normally go and visit uncle on a Sunday ...cos ....no matter what time of day ....it's always murder on a weekday !!!
