No not really Over all figure was better than last year - so that's something, but we had 7 boys get below a C in Maths (we normally don't have any, except for last year when we had 2).

Even those 7 wouldn't be a huge issue (OFSTED wise) if they were the same boys who didnt get their English, but they weren't. So it probably means we shall get a visit this year now.

Anyway, we had some really great results too, and most of the boys were happy and got to do what they had planned to do next, so that's the main thing.

Haz didn't quite get what she needed, so she's waiting to see whether the sixth form she wants to go to will accept her. She won't know till the end of next week. My other niece (from nice sis) did really well and got onto her A Level course with no issues.

All good

Duds had his car serviced this morning, then he drove us to Peterborough in the afternoon. We went to the cinema (and had pop corn) and then to Pizza Express for tea. I think I may be full till Tuesday.

What film?

We saw Trainwreck. It was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. Duds DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend it

It's a bit of a girly film, but they try and man it up by shoving a sporting angle in. He's not girly or sporty, so he said there was absolutely nothing in it for him

Yeah, I wish I had!

We're trying again tomorrow. This time we're off to the IMAX cinema in Nottingham to watch Jurassic World in 3D. Should be a bit more up both of our streets

We're combining it with a trip to Ikea. I need to get some stuff for Haz's room. We've just been making do so far. I think it's time to kit it out properly.

It will be my first visit to Ikea. I'm quite excited

Everyone I talk to seems to love it! So thought I'd give it a go

I did attempt a bit of internet shopping first, but they charge a fortune for delivery, so I thought sod it. I might as well make a day trip out of it
