I tend to wear my varifocals for trips out, football and so on. They aren't brilliantly appropriate for reading and definitely no good for stairs and escalators!

Hi GJ It was Asda How are things with you ?

Hello again Bazzy

I've been busy booking a hotel for next week. I decided to take Haz with us when we go to do the Segway thing (I managed to get them to change the time of our booking so they could squeeze her in), and stay over and make a couple of days of it.

Duds has suggested we go rowing in Knaresborough again if the weather is ok..... I'm having kayak flashbacks

Oh no! Aww Baz Do they do anything for it?

I have a pair of doggy sunglasses spare if you need them?

Funnily enough the optician said to wear sunglasses in bright sunlight .....to try and slow the progression down . Yes, they can operate , but they won't until they are bad enough/thick enough to peel off !!

The Christmas one was. This one was P&O.

Oh ok....which one was best , do you think ?

Definitely P&0

The price was fairly similar, but you seem to get charged for extra bits and pieces on a Thomson cruise for things that are just included in the P&O package. E.g. use of the safe in your room.

The transfer from airport to ship was much smoother with P&O, we dropped our bags at Gatwick and the next time we saw them they were outside the cabin. Thomson delivered them to our cabin too, but only once we'd got them to the port terminal.

The ship was much nicer too, although Thomson have some nicer ships than the one we went on - so that might not be a fair comparison.

So who is thinking of booking one then?
