She went through a midlife career crisis a couple of years ago. She got disillusioned with practicing law and was planning to give it all up and groom dogs for a living. She was then headhunted, given a huge pay rise, and suddenly discovered enough motivation to carry on.

Well I think that's me back. I've had quite a lot of things to deal with since my return.

A quick midday hello from me

 

I seem to have gotten myself into a situation I would rather avoid. 

 

Tonight I am being picked up by a complete stranger (although it has been arranged by a very good friend, so I'm assuming he isn't a serial killer) and taken to something that sounds like a very posh tupperware party (but for something expensive that cooks??? ) 

 

Reasons it is not a good idea:

• I ain't posh
• I don't do cooking
• I don't do well with complete strangers
• I'd rather be at home "cooking" my tea in the normal non-posh way

 

I feel like I've fallen for an elaborate con. Basically a good friend had a major operation and then invited me to "catch up" while she's convalescing and now I find myself in the social situation from hell.  I was just after a nice chat over a diet coke or summat. 

 

Duds got invited too - that made me larf. I can't wait to see his face when I invite him along  I wonder if I can convince my niece it's something every 16 year old would love to go to?  

Oh, that was a bit long. I really did come in just to wave.

Mr Baz's uncles been rushed into hospital, they are at this moment northward bound and I'm assuming going to the hospital. That's about as much as I know, needless to say she will be back very late and asked me to pop in and leave a message. If I hear anything else I will let you know

Afternoon Darnies Sorry to have left you in the lurch yesterday ....and thanks for all the good wishes Sadly Mr B uncle has had a stroke ....not good at any age , but at 94 He was still very poorly , but stable this morning . His other nephew has gone up today , so waiting for a progress report. Anyway , hope you are all having a good day , whatever you are doing .

Thank Rosie But TBH he already had major medical conditions ....he was hospitalised for nearly 2 months last year , so .....
