A thaw is incredibly unlikely! When I went round to see my sister on Sunday, she had already moved my niece's bed out of the house.

Duds hasn't said much, he's just gone very quiet. I've finished work for the summer now, so I'll get to spend sometime with him on my own during the day tomorrow, so we'll have a chat then. I don't want to offer my niece the option to stay for good till Duds is on board (ideally...)

She might be able to spend the odd night there, (she used to a few years back as she gets on well with my other 16 year old niece) but that sister is having a few problems in her relationship so I can't foresee too much help from that side of things really.  We'll see.

Oh heck ....that was a new one , wasn't it ???

It's always been the same in my family. I've had this for years and years. I've always been the stable one plus the one with no husband to have to work around....so whenever either of my sisters have had issues with boyfriends/husbands/accommodation.... it's always been my floor or spare room they end up in.

And just when I thought it was all over....it just moves on to the next generation

I may just have to have a complete melt down one of these days, and take my revenge! They owe me years of rent free living!
