Despite some family drama over the last few days

My 16 year old niece (from the nutty side) is moving in with me on Monday. Supposedly temporarily, but unless I'm tough enough to see her out on the streets, I suspect it may be a little more long term....

Oh heck I'm guessing she's fallen out with her mum??

Baz

Yep. It's been building for a long long time and culminated in my niece being thrown out of the house.

She's asked me if she can stay here until she sorts out something else (though gawd knows how she expects to do that at 16) and luckily (considering she has a tendency to disown me at the drop of a hat) my sister is ok with her staying here.

I don't imagine the issues she's had a home will continue here (as it's mostly sibling related) but we'll see how it goes.

Wish me luck.

Perhaps you better ask her when she goes back

I can't imagine she goes back any eariler than me....unless she's back in bleedin' August.

I break up on Wednesday Ros and go back on the 1st of September.

Unfortunately, no.  It would be a bit easier if it was

This particular niece is lovely too though. Her mum disowned me for number of years and on account of her being somewhat of a nutter, I haven't spent a huge amount of time with her or her children over the years.

I know her well enough, but we're not close.

It's ok, you can stop gulping. You're gonna swallow your tongue if you're not careful!

We have two training days too. Then an induction day (with just Y7 and 12 in the building), then a normal Friday, then the weekend. Gonna be a strange week.

Ducky
