I've never heard of him but if he's played the part of bad boy before it doesn't surprise me EE have approached him, they're constantly writing scripts for  those kinds of characters who most viewers don't like, same old, same old. EE is either sacking actors or actors are leaving, what they need to do is sack their scriptwriters

Yep totally agree, although DD is a bit of a plastic gangsta and not a very convincing actor.  He might be ok, but yes, EE script writers are useless and love their supposedly 'charismatic' wide boy cockerney bad boys who EE women are pre-destined to drop their knickers for at the first cheesy chat up line.

What frustrates me is it's called Eastenders and yet there was a time when I knew very many who lived in the East End of London and they were all happy go lucky people with a great sense of humour despite whatever their life circumstances were. For me the scripts aren't depicting the typical East Londoners that I know of.
