Kim Medcalf didn't want to return to EE, they had already decided to bring back the character of Sam so once Kim said no they went for Daniella Westbrook and yes she does look rough .

She looks awful - and that dress ...

Her acting has improved LOADS....its only quite crap now - that is a HUGE improvement!

She certainly does look rough. She's only 35 and she looks like Barbara Cartland!

always talked like she had a blocked nose (which is likely given her old habits)

What is it about EastEnders? The amount of average looking or even rough looking women who've been presented as if they were beautiful women has been amazing.

She used to be lovely .... but she's had a history of drug abuse .... and I think she was involved in a car accident at some point ....... not forgetting the loss of her septum a few years back.

When all is said and done she has conquered an addiction that almost destroyed her and got her life back on track. good on her I say.

Thats because Kim Medcalf wanted Sam to be a more classier character because the Daniella verson was wild. Yeah good on Daniella for conquering her addiction and she's vowed to earn trust back from her cast members .

I liked Daniella in her original stint and well done to her for turning her life around, was impressed by her yesterday . I couldn't see Kim Medcalf be impressed with having to do the dancing on the tables bit as she wanted Sam to be the clever businesswoman .

To me Daniella Westbrook (love her or hate her) is the only Sam Mitchell ......................I just wasn't convinced when they wheeled Kim Metcalf in ........she was far too different to the original.

I'm crossing my fingers that all goes well for Daniella ..............I'm so impressed how she's turned her life around.

I don't watch EE now, but did when she first joined, I used to think how beautiful she was

yes pussycat - she really was then and fun to watch,now we remember her nose - and thats sad for her.
As darlo says she has turned her life around - lets hope she is on the way up - time will tell

She has weird looking ears

She was in a car accident a few years ago. Dislocated her eye or something then had to get surgery for the scars on her face.
