The lineup for the new series of Dancing On Ice has been revealed.

Coronation Street star Steven Arnold, whose character Ashley Peacock was recently killed in the tram crash, will compete in this year's show, alongside Kerry Katona, Jeff Brazier and rapper Vanilla Ice.

Loose Women's Denise Welch will also take to the rink, as well as former newsreader Angela Rippon, ex-EastEnders star Sam Attwater and Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe.

Chloe Madeley, Neighbours star Craig McLachlan, cricketer Dominic Cork and David Vitty - Comedy Dave from Chris Moyles's Radio 1 show - will further star in the ITV skating show. Actress Nadia Sawalha, Nickelodeon presenter Laura Hamilton and Ellen Rives - Frank Lampard's ex-girlfriend - are also among the 16 contestants.

Soldier Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry, who won the Victoria Cross in 2005, completes the cast - marking the first time a competitor has come from outside the world of sport and entertainment.

However, in a new twist, only 12 skaters will make it through to the competition stage, meaning four celebrities will be voted off before they even get the chance to compete.

Emma Bunton, Jason Gardiner and Robin Cousins will return as judges, while Karen Barber will now act as head coach to the contestants. Nicky Slater was axed from the panel last month.

The new series of Dancing On Ice starts with two specials on January 9 and January 16 and two celebrities will be axed during each show.

Dancing On Ice pro Stuart Widdall has complained on Twitter about stories regarding his porn star past.

The Daily Star revealed at the weekend that the skater had appeared in gay porn films and posed for X-rated pictures.

Widdall has not denied the accusations, but said that he was annoyed that the newspaper had suggested that he was still working in the adult industry and that his reasons for quitting Dancing On Ice were related to his former line of work.

"What this article printed was infact a lie (sic)," he wrote. "I did not 'quit DOI to pursue this'. Nor am I doing this at the present time!

"Anything that they are talking about was made prior to my involvement with Dancing On Ice or my new job! That's what's sad. These creeps at the newspaper made a lie that it was happening now!

"Yes I did do these things in the past. It's my life and I can do what I want and if you don't like that then that's your problem. I'm happy with my life so you should be too.

The show hasnt bliddy started yet!!

Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe and her professional partner have reportedly grown close during training for Dancing On Ice.

The actress has been paired with French professional skater Sylvain Longchambon for the show. The Sun reports that the pair have attempted to keep their romance quiet.

Sources claimed that Torvill and Dean were left "open-mouthed" when they saw the chemistry between the couple during rehearsals.

Metcalfe allegedly tweeted a message to a friend earlier this week, saying that she was "missing a certain sumone (sic)" - after Longchambon went home to France for Christmas.

However, the paper claims that the two - dubbed the "new Kara and Artem" by crew - have arranged a secret meeting in Paris tomorrow.
