I actually agree with Karen for once, time for the GBP to vote ability over personality.

Joe or Samia to go.

IMO they should ALWAYS be voting that way!

I think the stooping is partly down to the size of his partner.

Samia should be one of those girls who get pinned to a revolving board and some guy throws knives at her but just misses because she seems to avoid getting hit every week.

Right result, Joe's time was up.

Three smiles that lit up the ice and one gurn from the scary one.

Watching and reading your posts at the same time.. don't know who's gone yet.

Just re-watched Gareth.... loved it again.

I agree too Karen looks lovely.  No wonder she snared my embarrassing crush, Chris.

Aw Joe... he's so nice, but in all honesty, he really should go tonight.   Still not sure he'll be in the bottom two though.

Agree with Baz's comment - I'd love to see Easties bloke fall on his arse.  I don't know what it is that's so unlikeable about him - obviously not just us that feels that way about him though if he was in the bottom two last week because he's a good skater although i thought his routine was a boring last night.

I'm getting p'd off with all the innuendo about Samia and Sylvain - we know they're a couple, who cares (apart from their exes of course)  doesn't make her any better a skater.  She deserves to be in the bottom two tonight with Joe.  Oh wait... she did really well then, there were TWO seconds when she wasn't holding on to him.   Of course she was sitting on the ice one and a half of them.

Wee boxer bloke's definitely improving - that was quite good - I'd like to see him doing a big lift though, so I hope he doesn't go this week.  OOPS - foot in mouth disease there Jase     Karen loved that.

Didn't think much of Cheggers' routine either and tbh, his paunch and moobs in those satin shirts is beginning to make me  a bit.

On the Karen/Jason debate - I see yogi agreeing with Jason, and I have to say, I've thought a few times, it's not so much that Jason is wrong a lot of the time, but that he's not very good at articulating what he means.

Ouch - Beth just hit the ice - I felt that!  Oh noooooo this headbanger looks scary.    I'm a nervous wreck here.   Those hair extensions were a health and safety hazard.    Beth was a - maze - ing  (I don't mind her advantage).   I'd be quite happy if she won this - she can skate as well as do the tricks.

Samia, Joe or Cheggers to go for me, they should be the next three to go and I don't mind what order, although.. if we keep Samia, we keep Sylvain

Right - results time... it takes hardly any time to watch this show when you fast forward all the ads!

Jeezo... Samia through

bollox.... Easties guy through (yes, I know it's fair - that matters not a jot)

oh well.. right two in the bottom then - I guess it's bye bye Joe then.   Cheggers next week I reckon.

Dancing On Ice 2013 team challenge: The teams revealed!

On Sunday’s show, the celebs will perform both a standard routine with their partner and a group performance with their team.

The judges will then each vote for which team they think performed the best, and the members of that team will have the judges’ scores from their solo routines doubled!

Following last night’s Dancing on Ice on ITV the celebrities were asked to stay behind to find out about this weekend’s ‘Team Challenge’.

The two skaters at the top of the leader board (Matt and Beth) were told they were team captains for a new ice challenge, and had to pick their team from fellow celebrities.

Matt chose Luke and Gareth.

Beth chose Samia and Keith.

All week they’ll be rehearsing in their teams to give the best team performance on the ice this weekend.

Whichever team wins (decided by the judges) will get double points on the individual leader board.

Matt’s team will be skating to MC Hammer’s – You Can’t Touch This

Beth’s team will be skating to Gangnam style

Also performing on the show this weekend is Olly Murs.

Hi Kaffy I would be  very happy for Samia to go, but TBH (and it's based on my dislike , rather than the skating) , I would also be very happy to see the EE guy go

probably not kaffy..... but being in the bottom two dented his ego, and that's fine by me Plus the judges weren't impressed with him this week... and if he comes up against either Beth or Gareth we could be in with a chance

Bad news for ITV this week as its revealed that Dancing On Ice  2013 is now coming third in its time slot.

The show’s latest skate off – which saw comics Keith Chegwin and Joe Pasquale  go head to head – was watched by only 5.1 million viewers.

It meant that the channel was behind not only BBC One but also BBC Two, with Top Gear pulling in  5.14 million viewers at the same time.

We’ve already covered the show’s poor ratings this month, with the series getting its lowest ever figures on Sunday night in eight years.

Just 6.5 million tuned in almost half the amount the show had during its peak  some years ago.

It’s no surprise then to learn that the show could be ditched.

“There’s been a lot of chatter on set that there will not be a ninth series,” a source told the Daily Mirror this week. “The powers that be are  unimpressed with viewing figures, especially considering how much it costs  to produce… they don’t know what to do.

“It will be a big decision for ITV, because 6m viewers viewers is not to be  sniffed at in this day and age. But the Sunday-night slot is as primetime as it  gets and they’d be expecting more people to tune in.”
