And I won't even start on the colour issue here. He shouldn't have been in the last 3.  Let's just blame in on the fact he's French, eh?   Yes, he screwed up the skate-off and it was a no-brainer he would have to go. But why was he in the final 3? Andy was shockingly bad, Sam very little better. Your thoughts would help me out of this rage!

Xochi.. I'm surprised at you bringing up the colour issue  - I doubt very much it crossed anyone's mind.      I didn't like his arrogance.. and to say he was badly served by the choreography is way off beam considering he seemed to want to tell the professionals what to put in the routine - so that he could show off more imo - like the split jump last week that he just didn't pull off.       He was all for himself - his partner was a mere hindrance that he had to spend some time with - he wanted to be out there doing his tricks on ice.  Impressive skills but not 'ice dancing' imo.     don't care what colour he is.. I said much the same about Chris Fountain and last time I looked he was white.

You still raging?

I thought that he was just playing to his strengths, like the actors do more 'acting' or the dancers do more 'dancing' or the jokers do more 'fooling around'

That's how I saw it too Supes. He had the hardest routine so was less able to accomplish it.

And sorry Kaffy! Don't be surprised by me!  I'm not always the easy going FM you may think when I'm properly riled! But honestly, what I say about the colour thing is entirely borne out of my own observations. I'm far too idle to trawl around the internet to find support for this view. And annoyingly, when I've ranted to my bezzie friend tonight (British Asian) she did this.  And I now just did the 'some of my best friends are...' argument ... ARGH!

Sometimes I hate the internet.

Xochi

Can't quote...

Supes... re the 'playing to his strengths like the all do'  The difference I found with him is that HE was the one telling the pros what to put into the routine.    Andy's an actor and joker.. and a rubbish skater... he didn't want them to focus on the joker part, he wanted to skate.     If the coaches had been telling Seb to put in certain moves, fair enough - but it was him that pushed for them, then couldn't pull them off.

Xochi... yes, t'internet!    I didn't mean I was surprised at you saying it.. I mean I was surprised at the sentiment if you get me - I obvioulsy know racism exists, it just never occurred to me it would affect a vote in a programme like DOI.    As for Seb having the hardest routine, there less able to do it.. maybe he should have thought of that and listened to the advice of the ones who know this sport better?  I still think he's a show off.   I'm show offist.
