She missed the Monday practice
Denise Welch reportedly had to ask Coleen Nolan to fill in for her on Loose Women, after partying with the Dancing On Ice crew.

The former Coronation Street actress was apparently meant to appear on yesterday afternoon's edition of the ITV talkshow but called in sick at 7.30am, The Mirror claims.

"Denise went out with the cast and crew from Dancing for a quick drink," a source told the paper. "But the excitement of the first-night show proved too much and nine hours later she was propping up the bar.

"Denise and Coleen are great mates, so Denise sent her a text at midnight, apologising for the state she was going to be in and checking Coleen was OK to cover. Coleen was in London for This Morning, so it was no major drama."

The insider continued: "Everyone knows what Denise is like and she was boozing with the ITV crew, so most people knew she was going to call in sick. But not everyone was impressed and Denise was given a talking to. She is very apologetic."

Welch will make her skating debut on this week's Dancing On Ice.

The Daily Mail webby has pics of Katona and Dan and are touting it as a fauxmance?   Now... I may be barking way up the wrong tree here.. but I'm pretty sure Dan's not that way inclined?    I appreciate that these things are all set up, but I have to say I'm really disappointed in him being up for this kind of trash.   With that kind of trash.

I agree with you. I always thought he was gay and people on DS say he defiantly is. So why is he going along with this?

The American rapper was rushed to hospital and required stitches to his head following a nasty accident on Wednesday in which he smashed his head against the ice while attempting a dangerous lift.

"I [felt] like I got hit by a train," The Sun quotes him as saying later that day. "[Skating partner] Katie [Stainsby] scraped me off the ice. I had no idea what happened at first - I was out for a few minutes. There was blood everywhere."

On the 43-year-old's botched move, an insider said: "This lift is huge and needs a lot of power. As he was getting his speed up he went flying. It was awful to watch."

Vanilla Ice, who discharged himself from hospital in order to attend the National Television Awards, also injured his ankle in the incident, and it is now unclear if he will be able to take part in Sunday's show.

"Because his head was so bad, he didn't realise his ankle was injured at first," the source added.

"It's touch-and-go if he'll be okay for Sunday - and even if he is, bosses are worried about the choreography. If a fall this bad happened on live TV it would be an absolute disaster."
