I do like cosying up to 'em and all of that, but how bllddy expensive are they? Bought half a dozen in Laura Ashley today with a couple of matching snuggle blankets... £500 and that was with 30% off!  I mean they're nice in a Laura Ashley kinda way, but bliddy £500

But I don't so....

I think I'm off my rocker too Ells! But not as off my rocker as those who bought them at full price! When I unpacked, I discovered that one of the snuggle blankets had a bloody great hole in it, (it's going back tomorrow.) TBH, however much I like them, I'm tempted to take the whole bleeding lot back

I was out shopping with my friends daughter who is just getting her first place...her bro' is a manager at MnS.. she's getting two ex display sofas tomorrow, for about the same price as my bloody cushions!

So that adds up to more than £100 pounds per cushion non-discount?!

Laura Ashley were always over-priced but that's bonkers!  Look at Habitat or Conran or Heal's. *mutters and goes to wardrobe and disturbs moths*

Zochi, I'm in the frozen North! Shabitat ventured briefly upon these parts, but have long gone... Conrans and Heals never ventured beyond the Watford gap.. See I thought I was seriously 'going cheap' having looked on the Missoni website last night!

I'm sure they're all on-line Supes! Nothing to lose but return postage which wouldn't be such a battering as you've had!

Poor wee supes have you concidered yourself kucky to be able to spend £500 on two cushions and two blankets? We're all in it together. Me, I have to live on disability and turned my heating off 4 weeks ago.

Yes Col, I consider myself v v lucky, (it's 6 cushions, but nonetheless!)...Lucky that I am well enough and healthy enough that I can still work my arse off to treat myself occasionally. I haven't had a day off for over two weeks, until this bank hol....the earliest I've knocked off in that time has been 8'ish and at least 1/3rd of those days I've been working til 2/3 a.m.

I'm sorry that you're unwell and can't do that Col... nonetheless, you can't resist a dig at me can you?

Cushions look nice but they aren't practical in my house with young boys around....not to mention the big oaf who is worse than the kids!!  So until they all move out (I'll probably have to keep the man-child though) I'll get by with cheapo ones or none at all.  I won't be spending mad money on them but I will go to the top of my budget because why not??  If you have it, spend it!  Can't take it with you

Mine were well and truly ready for a boost Ells....but they are practical, not just pretty, (well, in akinda snuggle up way!) I also bought some new lovely goose down pillows today...would I like everyone to have them, yes, of course I would, because they're so lovely. Did I have them when I was your age?  Like hell I did!

That does sound expensive but let me say this; They'll be good quality and last for a long time! And it's the blankets that would have whacked your bill up, not just the cushions. We bought one for MIL a few years ago as a Mother's Day gift and she absolutely loved it. Also, if you're not blowing hundreds of pounds each week on booze, fags, drugs & gambling then why not spend your money on nice things for your house! It's your money, spend it on what you choose

You don't need to justify what you spend YOUR money on.  I really wouldn't worry about it.

I could not have cushions and throws in the house.

I love the Kylie collection(bedding) and her cushions are beautiful.

Some people look like  when you say how much you spend on cushions ,shoes, bags whatever is your thing but they spend hundreds on cigarettes and don't bat an eye.

that is very true  if you like them it matters not to anyone else how you spend your money, just enjoy what you've bought (except for blankies with holes in them)
