I feel like a right thicko in here (even more than normal).
Join the club Yogi. .glad I'm not alone in the thickness stakes
Not as thick as I felt earlier when it dawned on me that I was trying to fit an answer to the wrong clue At least I got chocolate :smug:
It's just a question of interpreting the ever changing rules of each compiler. I see it as a way of learning stuff. You think you are thick but you all have better English than I.
I used to do crosswords but never the cryptic ones cos I just couldn't get the 'rules' of them at all. .and I was never much of a wordsmith.. now I am older my ability to find the right words for normal speech is hard enough never mind for a cryptic crossword
I like Puzzle/Adventure games tho. .I play loads of them to try and keep my brain active.. not sure it is working tho, unless my brain would be even more mush if I didn't play them at all
i only left to do the housework and all the clues have been solved
if there's a money prize do we get a share for helping?
The one ending in ARGYLE had a book prize but I very rarely send 'em in. I suppose i Could give so many pages to each assisting FM should the case arise.
I've never been any good at cryptic puzzles. My father can do the Times crossword in under an hour. He gets all the coded/lateral stuff which just goes over (and under) my head!
can you separate them please, getting confused as to which clue is which
That help?
Oops! Didn't realise there was a second page.
I gave up doing crosswords ages ago because I found them boring. And word searches are even worse!!!!!
I like logic problems though.

I like crosswords, allthough I don't do as many as I used to. Me and mam used to do the Sunday Express one every week, but now I only do them every now and again in the puzzle books. They're good for keeping your mind active. That's why mam and me used to like Countdown
Archdiocese. Next.

Archduchy?
Archduchy
Tilth
I think there is such a word as Tilth and that has something to do with soil.
Haha Soozy! You got in with Archduchy first and I got Tilth first - we're even!
Keep em coming GJ
I was being facetious, but I came kinda close. Pleased with that
Recap please
