Ya Real nice guys Temps. Pity he didn't practice what he preached but I know where Kaytee is coming from in her post.
I won't hold it against her.

I'm not saying anything about the wrongs that Cromwell did in Ireland, which were indeed terrible, but that the speech he made in 1653, could apply to the bunch we have sitting in today's English Parliament. I apologise to any of the Irish FMs who think I meant any more than that. I didn't Hug

Valentine Valentine It got kinda highjacked on you Katie. No offence taken because I know you didn't mean any.

Not discussing the Irish Question Temps, only our corrupt lot.

Nevertheless, it's rather like having a discussion about unemployment and saying, "That 'itler one would sort it all out!" Alas! There is rather a lot of baggage.

There is Joe, and I have apologised to any Irish fms who think I have any adherence to the views and actions taken by Cromwell later during the Commonwealth in my post further up the page.

Thanks Tayto Hug I certainly didn't and tbh the thought of his later exploits were never on the agenda. It was purely this early speech concerning the English Parliament
