I agree ~ viewing figures taking a nosedive has nothing to do with the sexual orientation of the characters.

Its the storylines being so cr*p.  I used to love Corrie, but lately the plots have no credibility, get drawn out long past their shelf life and humour has taken a back seat.  I haven't watched it in ages and I miss it, but I won't be watching again till they get back to basics.

Perhaps you should rephrase the whole post. There's so much material I don't know where to start.

I've been watching the Street since it started. There is still good humour (usually Eileen, Doris, and Mary) and usually some good laugh out loud moments (probably not intended) There's life in the old dog yet (several characters)
