I don't think it has anything to do with how many gay people they have in the programme... I think it's the poor storylines.....

I think you are right Baz......... Corrie's storylines are almost as daft and unbelievable as EE this past year!

I stopped watching EE ages ago Sparkles.... but started watching Corrie regularly again a couple of months ago... but am now back to just dipping into it every now and then...... there is no umour in the programme any more....  I think it needs a good shake up....

Clumsycat, Baz and Pirate I agree... but to say it's because of the gay folk in it is daft IMO.  And somewhat offensive to gay people!

I don't think it is because they are gay - I think it is because they are Sophie, Sharn (sp), Marcus and whatshisname, they are just not good characters.

That's the problem, the humour has gone and now they are all shouting at each other like EE, the boss was on This Morning the other day and he think's the papers etc are getting at him cause he's gay 

Its not as good as it used to be, not sure if its just because they are boring, gay or not. 

I saw that Aimes ... I though that he hadn't really connected with the 'old school' Corrie audience.

It makes me chuckle when I see 'The Royle Family' - Mary next door is Concepta Hewitt! I really don't know what happened to Lucille bit I remember reading years and years ago (in The News of the World) that her life was quite tragic - blighted by drugs and alcohol as I remember.

She died aged 61 a few years ago!

My favourite memory of Lucille was her taste in music. Often she would be in the kitchen listening to radio based guitar solos played in the style of Hendrix n Zappa ! I would have killed for a radio station like that. Nothing wrong with the Street on any level. Alas! One misses many episodes during summer.

i dont know the year but i stopped watching eastenders when the ferrera's arrived , i used to love corrie , dont mind if i miss it now , but i love emmerdale
