The defeat was bad enough, but the manner of it! Oh dear
Here we go again... day one of the 3rd Ashes test!
They've got the crowd going
94/7
Well done Jimmy Anderson on a 5 wicket haul already.
Yep, and I like the fact that Finn got two too.
Yes, great to see Steven Finn back in the Test side and bowling well.
119/9
Australia 136 all out
Anderson 6-47
England 7/0 at tea/rain delay
'ave it!
Here we go. One out already
England 133-3 at stumps on a rain-hit evening.
Disappointing to lose Cook and Bell after both had played themselves in, were scoring freely and looked comfortable against the Australian attack.
Nasty deliveries that got Bairstow and Stokes for sure.
Moeen Ali taking it to Mitch Johnson this afternoon.
England 261/7
Our one genuinely irreplaceable player (other than KP).
Hope Jimmy will be ok. Finn is playing really well too.
Jimmy Anderson ruled out of 4th Test (Trent Bridge) with a side strain.
We're already missing him this morning with the Australian lead now into the 40's.
The Australian tail has wagged.
Cook out! Bowled by Starc: England 11/1 chasing 121.
England 51/1
Ian Bell dominating although he has been dropped at slip.
Splendid result! Well done, chaps
Delighted for Ian Bell, too
Glad to see the bowlers got their time in the sun at last! Finn was superb - full of calm confidence too. Hopefully Jimmy isn't out for long although he's older and maybe retirement isn't too far away. It would be nice if he can turn up in Oz this winter and show them there too!
Fascinating game and the fact the next test is coming along on Thursday means the brevity of this one isn't so bad!

I'm quivering with anticipation already, Xochi!
well done lads....I was a happy camper
England call up bowlers Liam Plunkett and Mark Footitt into a 14 man squad ahead of the fourth Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.

Neither represent particularly inspired choices IMO and highlight the lack of options currently available â and surely Jack Brooks of Yorkshire is having a better season than both?
Here we are, off again
Here we are, off again
England to lose in 4 days, to keep their "win one lose one" run, of the last seven games, if the radio is to be believed, going

Not in my vocabulary, dear girl
Hope all is well in your world Sprouty
