I dont have any particular hobby in crafting, but i am crafty

I go though phases of wanting to create something, and do and then its out of my system.

I suppose the one thats stayed the most is baking and sewing belly dance costumes. I recently finished a peacock one that was so labour intensive. literally thousands of glass beads all over it, but it was worth it in the end.... and ive worn it ..... once *blink*

They're very cute Jenstar. The idea of homemade rats-on-a-string makes me laugh so much

They were tied to her belt trailing behind her and her recorder

Gypsie, that costume is stunning! The design is beautiful and the detail is fab.

You must be incredibly patient to stitch on all those little beads. I am very impressed.

ahh, thank you. Its not as bad as it seems, when you are sitting watching telly at night, you sort of start doing it without thinking. It took me a month to make it, on and off. But i think if i sat down and just did it I could have done it in about a week, maybe about a week and a half.

I find sewing really therapeutic.

I remember ages ago, about 3 years or so. I was driving home through the new forest and decided to get deliberately lost.  We ended up driving through this little villiage and all over the place there was these scarecrow type people.  It was the freakiest thing EVER they were bending over garden walls, popping out from behind the post box, children ones were sitting up trees that overhung the road, some where queuing outside shops, cutting the grass etc.

It was properly scary. I still have no idea what that was all about, for about 2 miles just all this freaky stuff going on. I googled the village name when i got home and couldn't find anything on it.

People do strange stuff.
