Just watching today's programme and one of the contestants almost shouts in an angry way the words "vowel" and "consonant"!

Poor old Rachel, her hearing must be shot.

I used to enjoy Countdown but haven't watched it since Stelling left. Used to love it when Stillgoe or Digence were in Dictionary Corner

I enjoy the lady who does Dictionary Corner now because she get's the opportunity to give us a few minutes on the origins of words and phrases.

Today it was "at sixes and sevens".

I like that part of Countdown too. But I really don't care for Nick Hewer in the chair.
