Even though in terms of subverting our democracy, corrupting the journalistic and law process Murdoch has done more than Chowdary, Abu Hamza. and Ava Banana, I will stick to my prediction that they will all get off with it. Trust me! He is bomb proof.
It's a fair analogy...and analysis.
We'll see though.
His memory seems to be failing him.
I know.
Quite a lot he can't recall.
I wish he'd forget his address. He lives virtually opposite me, and the road keeps getting blocked with bloody reporters every time he's in the news
They were all in thrall to the Murdoch empire.
Coulson was rubber stamped as a place-man concession to Murdoch for Murdoch doing a job on the Labour Party at the last election. Corrupt to the core.
Sky did a job on Gordon Brown over Gillian Duffy to make sure the Tories were elected. There was no way that Cameron's off mic comments would ever be broadcast by Sky. The Murdoch empire is a disgrace and has been perverting democracy for far too long. It needs to be broken up.
Right wingers are study in hypocrisy in how they bang on about the European Court of Human Rights and the EU (which has elections and is accountable) but don't give a damn that a totally unaccountable foreigner sitting in his New York office has been pulling the strings of government since the late 70s. If Murdoch was pushing a socialist agenda, they'd be foaming at the mouths like rabid dogs at the 'injustice' of it all.
He will. I still think he'll pull out all the stops to make sure the Tories get re-elected. All the currant stuff is about Murdoch telling the Tory party that it mustn't cross him. Not that it will. As long as the Tories give him what he wants, which they will since they really want the same thing - right wing hegemony - he'll do his utmost to make sure the GBP are sufficiently brainwashed into keeping the Tories in power and advancing Murdoch business ambitions and ideology.
