I also think Eileen has more trouble too come i'm glad she's got a storyline at last though. i like her character
Yes it was.
Coronation Street bosses have decided to bring back Bruno Langley's character Todd Grimshaw for a short return storyline, Digital Spy can confirm.
Earlier today, tabloid reports revealed that the show's producer Phil Collinson had approached Langley over a Weatherfield comeback - more than three years after Todd was last seen on screen.
Todd's original Corrie stint ran from 2001 to 2004. During that time, he became the show's first acknowledged gay character - memorably kissing Nick Tilsley in 2003 before embarking on an affair with nurse Karl Foster.
In 2007, the character made a brief return to Weatherfield to attend his brother Jason's (Ryan Thomas) wedding to Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien), before heading back to his new home of London.
An ITV spokesperson told DS today: "We are currently in negotiations with Bruno Langley about a short storyline that will see the return of the character Todd Grimshaw.''
Meanwhile, a Corrie source told the Sunday Mirror: "Todd was a hugely popular character and his gay kiss was a landmark moment. Phil is aware the show has a lot of gay viewers and feels there should be more characters they can identify with.
"When Phil contacted Bruno about making a comeback he was over the moon. Everyone's really excited about it."
Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey) will wed girlfriend Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan) Chinese friend Xin so that she can stay in the country when her student visa runs out - risking going back to jail in the process.
The fake couple will bribe David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Kylie Turner (Paula Lane) into letting them share their wedding day, but Kylie is only marrying David in the hope of getting Audrey's hair salon, according to the News of the World.
Graeme and Tina stage a break-up and Xin (Elizabeth Tan) moves into their flat. However, despite being Tina's idea, the lies push the couple apart and Graeme leaves Weatherfield later this year.
He tells Tina: "I can't believe what we've got ourselves into. I could get seven years in jail for doing this." She tells him: "When the dust settles we'll find a way out."
A source said: "Things get messy. Corrie fans love Graeme and Tina together. But the lies eventually split them up. And whether or not he is found out and sent to jail, Graeme will leave Corrie very soon."
Gazey announced his exit from the show earlier this month.
LOL anything that upsets trashy Becky is fine by me.
I can't stand Leanne anymore, Carla is no angel and she does fancy Peter but she was genuinely concerned when he turned up at her flat drunk and didn't take advantage. Leanne is hypocritical going around being mean when she's having an affair. It's interesting how much mistakes the 4 characters involved have made but grrr Nick what a slimey and dull creature.
I really like Rosie, she's shallow and self obsessed but deep down she is a caring person as proved with how she is with Sophie. What a right mistake losing baby Jack though, how irresponsible. The writing for her character IMO has improved under this producer than anyone else...
See that's a funny baby switch plot, unlike the doom laden Eastenders..
re. Rosie, I think John needs to lock her up in an attic again
Massive mistake bring back Tracey Barlow. She is so annoying and such a bad actress to be a 'bitch' Janine in EE has it perfected, she's not likeable but thats because she's such a good actress, Tracey just has those piano key teeth out at every opportunity. She annoys me because shes shit.
Tracy is going to be put into a tricky situation because...
She discovers what Leanne and Nick have been getting into which will be interesting, Leanne and Carla have a confrontation in the toilets of the Rovers and unbeknown to them TracyLuv is hiding in the cubicles. She is of course furious and wants to tell all to Peter but Ken and Deirdre are then forced to confess they know so Tracy is in a tricky situation
Tracy also clashes with Tina soon, however they call an uneasy truce so there could be a friendship on the cards.
I wish the mods would fix out when it comes to hiding spoilers in the blue backgrounds.
And why does Tracy think that she can suddenly come and take Amy back? Steve is just as entitled to have Amy as she is... more so actually, as he has been looking after her for the last few years.
Aimee, I also agree that it's annoying how these soaps just actually expect us to forget things, like the money missing from the safe in Dev;s shop, and the fact that dull Michelle has a son who was switched at birth, that no-one ever mentions, Corrie is still way better than Eastenders though.
Simon's ok but delivers his lines a bit parrot fashioned, for me the best child actor in soaps isTiffany in EE, she's a natural and a delight to watch with her expressions.
I'm glad I can't see the spoilers as I don't like to know in advance, couldn't there be a seperate thread for Corrie spoilers like there used to be. I also watch EE and a few weeks ago there was a thread for it but it mentioned it contained spoilers, I didn't read the thread because I didn't know if the spoilers were visible to read or hidden by white text. Some like spoilers some don't, couldn't we have seperate threads for both points of view.
