That was actually one of the best episodes in ages. I was really annoyed at Eileen's reaction though.
Just popped in to say hello to all Corrie fans
It was a good episode last night & sad really but the expression on Jasons face made me howl when Julie put his mind at rest.

I don't really watch soaps as avidly as I used to. I still have them on but I tend to be busy with other things..
Didn't Julie sleep with Jason then? As much as I saw most of yesterdays for once I think that was the one sentence I missed!

I usually catch up on Sunday with the omnibus so I look forward to seeing what happened with Rita
Yay! A Corrie thread! I've just watched last night's - poor Rita indeed. Do you think this will be the excuse Norris needs not to go off round the world with Mary?
Looking forward to tomorrow's..... our Kenny will sniffing round that barge again!

How great to see a Corrie thread.
It is just my favourite soap. I love it, and look forward to chatting here with other fans about it.
Yes poor Rita.
Kaffy.. I cetainly think and hope that Norris will not leave and go round the world. I love watching Norris.
mmmmmm yes, Ken and the barge.. I saw on This Morning that Ken gets to have some crumpet on that barge.

Hi Mollie - yes, I believe he does... but declines the offer to sail off into the sunset. I'm sure Norris won't go - he can't - his brother is coming into the show.
I've watched Corrie since Tracey was born, looking forward to having chats about it in here.

Sorry - didn't notice this last night. She SAID that nothing happened, they were both drunk and fell asleep. I think she's lying.
Another one I cant leave alone. About the only soap I dont watch these days is Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Are Ken and Martha at it as I speak?

Norris's brother... oooohhh, that shoud be a great storyline. Hope he is a good actor, like Norris.

most probably...
did you see him getting stuck into that crumpet, with butter and all?

So do I Kaffy...could be interesting..
Eileens dad talking to Rita, saying it may be her last chance, flipping cheek, he is no oil painting and 70? I thought he looked a lot older.

He's gonna be played by Andrew Sachs, Mollie!

A thin scraping of marg just wouldn't have provided enough calories to do the business! Maybe Deirdre should invest in some Lurpak.
I know it's just a programme, but I'm gutted Martha gave in and slept with him. MAKE HIM LEAVE HIS WIFE FIRST!!!!!
Arh What was staring at the cigarette ends in the yard all about when he had just done the deed with Martha. Poor Old Deidre!!!Although I have to say I do prefer Martha. More Kens style.
Ken Barlow does my head in, he's such a pompous twit, and the way he looks at Deidre as if he's stepped in something nasty.
I hope does leave Deirdre for Martha and it all goes pearshape, then he'll be up the creek with a paddle as I'm sure Deidre won't have him back after Ken left her a letter explaining why he was leaving her.

Do you mean 'at it' as in at it, or 'at it' as in boring the nation rigid?!!
I read somewhere that Ken Barlow was leaving Corrie - anybody any news on this

Really ?
I bet he will be good in it.
Wonder if it will be just a short visit like Peter Kay did, or a longer part ?
Glad to see this thread taking off - it's the only soap I watch now
I didn't know about Andrew Sachs playing Norris's brother - should be interesting!
Really good episodes this week - I was crying again when Norris and Emily phoned Rita - you could really feel her pain
I didn't like Eileens attitude either but she has calmed down and aplogised now
Have been a bit bored of the Ken/Martha thing but it does look like he is going to go with her - for the time being at least!

It's the only soap I watch too, liverbird - I love Corrie!
Mollie, not sure how long he's going to be in for - probably not that long, but there are pics of them together in some of the TV mags, I think he's due to arrive quite soon. I can't think of him as anything other than 'Manuel' (or Georgina wotsername's grandad!) but can imagine he'll be quite good opposite Norris.
I love corrie, can I join your thread please? ... Good, thank you.
Just how Ridiculous is Becky?

Sorry, no news about it, but I`d guess that he`s now taking some time off as I think he carried on working just after he sadly lost his wife...
Go Ken, go!!! Go start a new life, your old one is so boring.

I thought it was still there on the sideboard but she plonked her handbag on top of it and hadnt noticed it - didnt much care for the floozy but he was right in what he said about never being too old to want some love in life and if his marriage to gud ol deirdre was just a marriage of convenience then gud on him for wanting a bit of lurve before hes too whizzened up to enjoy it - yeah I know its onlya a tv show but all the same - go ken go
Hope the programme livens up and gets some good storylines, it's been so bad lately I haven't been bothered if I missed an episode.
At least we haven`t had too much of Gail simpering away, or David giving mean looks lately, so I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies.

I think Deidre gets to read the letter tonight...
Does anyone else think Ken backed away from going through with going away with Martha because when she was talking about the friends she wanted him to meet, he realised that he might be out of his depth with them? As it did sound as though they were all more well travelled, wordly, and possibly better educated than him.
(And he is a wee bit of a snob isn`t he!!!)
Or do you think he really couldn`t leave his family when push came to shove?
How often have we seen it though, the Barlows splitting up - yawn!!
Even the rumours about another affair coming up sounds boring to me,

Do you mean Molly and Kevin?
It just doesn`t sound feasable does it, especially as Molly is a newly-wed...
I love Blanche though,it wouldn`t be the same without her.

Yeah them two!
I agree about Blanche, so funny but can be annoying at times
