My mum used to say ‘muck ‘ …until she got dementia , then she came out with words we never realised she even knew

gawd knows where ours came from, we had coal, steel, fishing and farming.... but, west Cumbrian's say sh*te a lot, it may have been convenient to use it

funnily enough, my brother stopped swearing when he started with Alzheimers, I don't think he swore after the age of 54
