I have a boiler , but keep my water on manual ā¦.so just put it on for an hour at a time. Like you I can just about afford things , but tbh Iām quite extravagant food wise so I can cut down there if needs be ā¦.and quite frankly as Iām here all day Iād rather cut down on food than be cold .

I have instant hot water Baz, I don't need to switch my boiler on I can't imagine how some will cope, especially people on basic pension with no other income. Or, someone like one forum member we know

just have mine on schedule but not in all day so no point having the heating on -but its still not cheap - we always have hot water and can overide everything if we need it on longer

I don't have the heating on and like I said my water is instant, so my boiler is rarely on through summer...I was just shocked at the amount of the bill considering for the most part I was here on my own.

I do Baz, although the girls may have to go back to work 5 days a week..I can't run it 7 days a week from 7am until midnight
