I don't agree with claiming hundreds of pounds a week rent for a fabulous house...but if its reasonable rent and they are genuine they shouldn't be capped on really low income.  I think it needed to be looked at...but some are suffering in real poverty.

just reading about a bloke struck off by atos who needed a heart transplant...he died

its awful but the trouble is the majority of peeps agree but the complexity is that most either were in low paid jobs or wanted to work

same here Ros, either zero hours contracts or part time...no win situation...zero hour contracts should be stopped and immediately

yes agree Dame - there is  a middle road  - it has gone from one extreme to the other and although some peeps were living beyond their means  on benefits , on the other hand there needs to be more affordable housing especially for those in low paid jobs.

London is ridiculous...saying that private lets here have risen sharply due to the bedroom tax...people desparate to move and the government will pay housing benefit to private landlords however many bedrooms  makes no sense to me...well it does, lining pockets whilst the poor get turfed out for having one spare room  if Leanne wasn't here I would have to pay another ÂĢ50 a month

aww no dame its just so wrong - sometimes totally the wrong peeps suffer - one woman was put in  a hostel with three small kids in one room and another family from Somalia put their food in the toilet rather than it be nicked in a shared kitchen
