I’ve got none as far as our football team goes

snap Baz ...we have been pathetic

yes some grim times-can't seem to compete with the European teams -most of the premier players are now foreign especially the top footballers

And thereby is the problem....teams and owners and managers want overnight results

Oh believe me, I'm not expecting them to get to the final....four years time maybe, but I'm expecting a good show of them now, and the further we get has to be a bonus

Pam we have said this for decades.... it's easy for us to buy foreign players and not put the money into building a great national team...like I said, we'll be saying the same in another four years and the next four years. I truly hope I am proven wrong.

As I said to Wozzer previous, that's part of the problem, teams, managers, owners want overnight results and if foreign payers provide well then they're gonna go for them

what's that about dammee?

I didn't realise it was about a lesbian couple, but that's neither here or there to the story...it's getting spooky now

Jane Logan is a stranger to Berlin and she finds the city alive and echoing with the ghosts of its turbulent past. At six months pregnant, she's instructed by her partner Petra to rest and enjoy her new life in Germany. But while Petra is out at work, Jane begins to feel uneasy in their chic apartment. Screams reverberate through the walls, lights flicker in the derelict building that looms over the yard, a shadow passes on the stairs . . .

Jane meets a neighbour's daughter, a girl whose life she tries to mend, but her involvement only further isolates her. Alone and haunted, Jane fears the worst . . . but the worst is yet to come.

Louise Welsh, the acclaimed author of The Cutting Room, delivers another masterful suspense novel. The Girl on the Stairs is a powerful psychological thriller packed with twists and turns to keep you reading well into the night. Read it, or be left in the dark.

the amount of money in the premier league and tv rights is disgusting, we could easily pump millions into having a super academy.

I totally agree but as long as peeps are paying Sky/BT subscriptions it'll never change
