we had same communal showers all through school, your mates seen all your bits up until 16 or later

it's a lovely setting Pam, but very difficult for teachers to control people going in and out...there are trails through the woods with many openings. To be honest, it's not a very secure school even now
Aye, mine was communal too, up to a certain age. I remember the teacher coming in and turning the water to cold to get us out and dressed to go to our next lesson after we'd been doing cross country running round the school field and would run in to a warm shower

built in 1958 but modernised and added too over the years, Was boys on one side and girls on the other...they mixed us in my second year and fully mixed in my third year and went fully comprehensive, I hated it when the mixed us

I hated school, but very rarely missed a day. TBF it really was only in the summer when hay fever was playing me up when I took any significant time off

cross country was literally cross country to us... I'm sure they were trying to kill us

aww shame, my juniors is now a care home. I used to have vivid flashbacks going to visit my mother in law when she went in there.
