An old aged pensioner was at the speed bank on Monday and had the cash snatched out of his hand in our town...god help the bloke if they catch him...town is in an uproar. Still say the girl didn't deserve to have her phone nicked when it was in her back pocket...

Which is why I make it harder for thieves and use a crossover bag
That's truly awful but again, wherever I can, I minimise the risk and use the inside ATM machines
must admit I do use outside cash points but not often usually pay by card

Me too ....but if I do , I go into the bank itself ....keep my eyes open and always put my money away before leaving ...having said that , it can happen to anyone , anywhere ...

If for some reason I do have to use outside cash points, I'm very wary regarding who's around me and stand as close to the machine as I can and try not to let anyone see what I'm keying in

I don't think it does, they have proven to have got around most deterrents ...as I say, box cutters appear to be the tool of their choice nowadays. You're gonna have to wrap that bag around your neck a few times

I'm not saying it's gonna foil everyone, but there's always a chance a thief will move on to someone else and an easier target rather than you.
