in fact I think there are three, they are mounting steps to get on your horse...ours were placed outside of pubs...as you can see they are well worn

I was 16 and we were well looked after by the local landlord. Most of us learned our skill in the Lifeboat

many a time I've struggled to get in a taxi let alone mount a horse
