Da Oracle has spoken, I'm ignoring all other advice 

 I will be glad to get back in my own room .....the spare bedroom doesn't have blackout curtains ....although it does have a blind ....but it's far to light for me ....I had a dreadful night last night ....and that's without the heat !!

Dunelm do them....and they are quite reasonable ....and in lots of colours /designs
