I think you'll find it's age related, even if you're not working

point me to a woman over fifty that doesn't have insomnia problems and I'll give you a tenner for every one you find

Why does it change as we get older though? we're still the same person. And you'd have thought we needed more sleep

never needed much sleep TBH  but  have phases of awful sleeping - better since I left proper teaching

See, I think it's down to work and future security

TBH sprrooty  -don't think it's just that - when teaching stress or worry about  a situation in work  but still happens now even when I feel relaxed - it's a mystery

No, I don't think it's just down to that either, but it must play a part

if it was that, can you imagine doctors, nurses, teachers, care worker would be suicidal and it happens to far more women than men...Menopausal insomnia is a recognised condition

I'll have a constant wage coming in every month though, and I'll have more rights than I've got now

we all have worries Pam, but they are exaggerated because of lack of sleep and not the the cause of it in most over 50's especially in woman

Don't get me wrong, that's not my only worry. There are a lot of other things I worry about too. It just seems that if I had job security it would take one weight off my mind

what about double glazing

No, too much upheaval ...and then would need to redecorate .....easier to have it painted

I'm off the same mind, if a you can't book a workman immediately and they are booked up it's normally a sign of people being highly satisfied with the job he's doing.

Yes  Lawn guy is the one a neighbour has , so know he is reliable .....in fact we had them quite a few years ago , but couldn't afford it at the time ....
