Yes, but there are often really long queues ....depends on whether there are any hold up etc. ....theirs is all electronic I believe

It's nothing like here and it's law, so I certainly don't have a problem with it...Mainly cos I don't live there  

Another thing, some have to travel miles to get to a station which can serve many homesteads and small towns, queues can be massive

Yes, and like you said some of them probably have to drive hundreds of miles to vote ....

hope Trump doesn't win tonight. More generally, despite the inevitable draw of the drama and showbiz razzmatazz, I don't think we should look to the USA Democrat establishment for inspiration for the UK. The USA Presidential election is so fascinating and, sadly, dangerous. But the USA way of 'doing politics' remains so damaged by the role of big money.
