no we have no clout, but we're still bombing a country that's been blown to bits. I don't think the Islamists hold power, they are pocket groups and the sooner we stop selling arms to countries that supply them and other countries do the same they are less powerful.
I agree about the selling arms ....but I think the Islamists hold huge power ...religion and a willingness to commit suicide in its name is the most dangerous combination I can think of ....because if people are so willing to die for their cause their are very few sanctions that can be applied .
And that's the top and bottom of it! (or their perception of it)

no, the two we have picked are full. He will be assessed by both places and if they are willing to accept him he will go to the top of the waiting list and the first one that becomes available he will be moved. So, we don;t get the final say...
