I have a big software update coming in next few days ....but luckily ....or unluckily .....it will only apply to our phones and my IPad Air ....the old iPads and my iPad mini won't get it

that happened to my phone this time, it didn't update to marshmallow... it still runs perfectly but you miss out on the extra's. The new one should be good for three or four updates

Yes, that's the trouble My phone , and watch should be ok for a year or two.....will probably update my iPad to the latest one at Xmas though ...

still as long as they work perfectly well and your other gadgets have been updated it's no so bad Baz  I've ran my phone for months without the last update and when I first got it, it didn't even recognise apple smileys ..then the first big update and my phone was awash with smileys

It's more the security angle of the updates that is more important .....

Mini visit to see my brother, I won't be staying long as I was there today and his wife is going too...afternoon school run and drop off to other nans and some cleaning for Lynds, although I may do that Saturday morning. She's a viewing Saturday at 5pm, but she works until three....so I offered to help out

TBh it would be as bad as my other job with  the travelling - I would have to leave at 7.15am  at the latest and get home at 5.00pm-less responsibility but  cost  a fortune in petrol
