I don't know what caused it, but it's a possibility
I've known lorries get stuck under bridges in this town......granted not a motorway but it does happen

just read the lorry that hit the bridge was carrying a digger and was on the hard shoulder...he may have had technical problems maybe the lowest point of the bridge. The lorry on the motorway wasn't the cause.
Yes, but this was a footbridge that was apparently undergoing repairs
still, you would think it would be high enough Baz, never known one to be hit in a motorway

mind the digger looks like it's on a low loader, so I'm astounded if it caught the top of the bridge...worrying
