There are some ships that cater for the more 'mature' peeps and some that are 'family friendly'  If I went on a cruise, I know which ship I'd like to be on

but you're still stuck with the routine, I like to explore far too much. I love tenerife, sitting over the harbour enjoying a nice meal at night and a stroll....ships would bore me to death

But you can get off on shore trips?

yes and to the Caribbean or America for some - have looked at cruises but not sure they are for  me

Apparently, once you've done one you won't go back to the other kind of holidays, and to be honest I know a few peeps that have done a good few cruises.  My Aunty Pam's going on a river cruise shortly

ooo those river cruises are good but pricey  -look good though

Mr B wants to go on one of those Mind you , given his mobility and deafness I can't see the point .

aww Mr B the ledge can sit down and enjoy the view

Yes , but the idea is to stop off and look around places .....not just the riverbank They are sooooo expensive ......between 1-2 k pp .....that it would be a waste of money ....if we had it He is better off going to a nice hotel and just strolling down to the pool each day ....which is what he used to do anyway

I love to explore but seeing  a few places in one go appeals in a way

the problem is you don't get that much time...I love the places I love...and can happily spend 14 days there. I love Estartit and Barcelona, I never get bored and holidays/breaks are cheap enough...now I have to get over the fear of flying again  Hoochie's tried, threats, name calling, paying...nothings worked so far

understandable Baz  My brother was ok thanks, yesterday he was very tired and I took him to his room and got him to lie on top of the bed for a nap....today he looked much more alert. Although he's now at the stage he's not listening to us
