Yes , it can be .....usually takes about 6 months ....start to finish ....that's what my dads took .....

see, I can't understand 6 months...a will is supposed to make it simpler! A friend of mine lost her dad, no will and it took 10 weeks to sort...madness

It's because you have to gather all the information about the assets .....which takes a while ....then apply for probate ....then actually get the assets and distribute them ...and if it's over ÂĢ325, 000 you need to also satisfy the tax man ......

wow it is worth a lot of moneypleased for you

It's not mine Ros ....sadly .

I was just saying IF an estate is over 325 you have to pay tax on it ....at 40% I think

Awww If it's any consolation I will be up early ...for me ...too Is it Sam's appointment ?

no, it's her shift on the clinic Baz, the one she does every month, she normally gets back in time to pick them up, unless she gets held up which also ties my day up because I never know if I am needed for the school pick up until last minute

Exactly ! Much as I wanted out I wouldn't have done that ....at least I was able to walk away with my head held high , so to speak

me too Baz and I knew I was heading that way, so I did the best thing I could and walked away. I was really unhappy and I still I couldn't bring myself to cheat..although I found out later it wouldn't have mattered anyway, he obviousley didn't have my morals as me
