Awww Yes , I don't like those bits

I walked out of the office one day onto the factory floor to go to the stock room when I worked at a yarn firm...A woman collapsed onto a machine and I managed to get my arms under her and shouted for help...They had to give me smelling salts, she had fainted because she was pregnant, I didn't understand the machine and thought she was caught in it  I felt a right tit

I am useless -was in St John's at one time -god knows how I did it

kids at school-miss I feel sick -right go now to the office don't worry about having  a pass - splash on double  anti bac

But if you're not exposed to germs, how do you make yourself immune?

me too Ros..Doctor once asked my hubby if we had marital problems because I made him take the kids when they were ill, ex said 'no, she can't cope and ends up crying'  looking back, that doctor was spot on

LOL!   It was always dad that got up with me when I was sick in the loo

I've seen me ask the kids to empty the sick bucket when they have been ill...otherwise I would have joined them ..mind you, my dad would have run a mile, I must have his genes...in fact I know I have temper and all

No! they're all germs.   I firmly believe we've become too much of a 'nanny state' in that respect

Yes , I was the same when I was going to work one morning and a cyclist got knocked down by a car .....it was thick fog ....and no one else was around ....just me ....and cyclist was trying to,get up ....even though I could see he was injured ....and car driver was a gibbering wreck ! So I sent him to one of the local offices to phone for an ambulance while I stayed with cyclist . I was fine until Igot into work to tell them why I was late ....then I collapsed in a heap

I disagree Pam...there's one thing letting your kids play out like we did and get immune to stuff, but cleaning up vomit and much worse is more to do with what you can cope with..that's nothing to do with a nanny state and more to do with what you can cope with in life.

But if we've been 'exposed' from the beginning, we should be ok, shouldn't we?

When I think of the digging with a lolly stick between the cobbles in the back lane that I used to do when I was little......

you can't change how you are though...some can cope, like nurses and stuff...if you haven't got the stomach you haven't and that's nothing to do with picking up bugs

I don't even like being sick in loo I just hate the whole thing ....vomit , sensation .....or anything

Obviously no one likes being sick but if it has to be, it has to be

Having said that.....I've often wished I wanted to die when I've been sick

Yes , but your immune system isn't as robust as you get older .....and things that you used to shake off when you were young  hit you harder
