I'm loving all this rice talk. I love rich and as a youth out drinking I liked nothing more than pulling out an old carton of egg fried rice, microwaving it and burning my tongue trying to eat it.
me too EC...p*ssed beyond belief and getting a takeaway only to not be able to eat it...next day dinner was served
Ahhh, great memories. I'll not regale you with my stories about toast, pickled onions, pickled beetroot and cheese.
Ooo that actually sounds nice Mind you the way my stomach is rumbling .....,
Suffice to say, one of my favourite concoctions was to toast some bread, lay sliced cheese on it and cut up pickled onions, then lay the top slice. Even now I can taste them, delicious after 6 pints of lager.

I would not trust myself to fry bacon when half cut!
Using a toaster was kinda risky at the best of times.
