Outsourcing Electricity board owns it and he won't touch it....I can understand him though.   They have to contact me within 16 weeks and come out and remove as it might have asbestos behind the cover

don't blame him and it will have to be removed safely, it's fine as long as it doesn't get damaged

surely it has a factory reset on it that does it all for you...it will wipe everything off and it will be as you bought it. All my lappy's have it, the OS should be on the computer and installs itself. 

what model is it Pam?

I've tried it, I tried to clean the 'empty space' on it using a tool on Avast. It filled up my hard drive    and now it won't let me restore - even after I deleted loads of stuff. So I'm thing go back to the beginning

but you will have a back to the beginning on it..you're paying him for pressing a button Pam  you don't want a restore, you need back to factory settings, it will wipe it clear. If it didn't come with discs, the OS should be on a partitioned part of your hard drive. 

it won't let me go back for some reason though
