wow do you teach in them?? - very Old fashioned dress code for men in our school - shirts /ties or suits /ties and shoes

Hi Ros Yes I wear those shoes. They are quite smart ones (not the boots) I usually wear a suit or smart trousers/suit jacket combo. I haven't been to any schools where I'm required to wear a tie, although I did do on my first training-placement!

Rocking Ros Rose

Bit of a mare. We went in, had to wait about half an hour for a table. Not a problem.  We sat and had a drink.  You get a mobile phone for them to call you to the restaurant .

They came and took our order. Me – fish and chips. Auntie and uncle – chicken.  Starters was a salad bar, help yourself to as much as you want. I didn’t go daft cos I wasn’t sure about what size the meal was gonna be. We hadn’t even finished our starter and the main turned up!  The fish was huge with batter and a bit more brown than it should’ve been but no matter. I cut into it to cool it down a bit and started on the chips and mushy peas and then cut the fish up. Pam and Steve weren’t happy so they asked for it to be taken back.  5/6 minutes later out they came with another full dinner! But meanwhile they had finished theirs and I was eating alone. I couldn’t finish it all so had to leave the batter and some chips.

It was ok though, there was nothing else wrong with it except the fish.

Sorry it's a bit long
