Had nice time in York ..... Weather fantastic, dinner last night fantastic , premier inn lovely , but lights outside room kept me awake all night .....so they gave us a full refund ...even though my friend slept ( probably due to excess wine !:laugh:
.....breakfast was great ....then things went downhill ! York Minster was ÂĢ10 each to go in ...so as we both objected to paying to go in a church ....we didn't do! Thought we would do museum /art gallery ...they wanted entrance fee too , so......In the end we walked around , did the shambles ....bought a few bits ...and then went on an open top bus tour of city , which was hilarious ...guy was from Newcastle , and had us in stitches .....but then I started to feel unwell .....think I was just incredibly tired , so we caught an earlier train ...and here I am
