TBH I think you will have to travel-a pain but realistic - is it worth doing that intense week driving test  course?

My day was fine thanks...how was your trip to the seaside and di you wear your hankie? 

That's good ....no , but I did take my sandals off and rum along the sand It was sunny , and quite warm where it was sheltered, but there was a very chilly breeze ....and as always , my friend walked me miles !!!

I have Chariots of Fire theme tune running through my head now  It's been a chilly breeze here to Baz...I was out and about not five minutes after I spoke to you this morning...had a coffee with Dolly, but although sunny it was too nippy to sit out on the patio

lovely....York is gorgeous  I'm off for a night in Carlisle in September, Hoochie is coming too...we are going to a talk so thought we may as well make a night of it

I know I nearly spat my ice cream out though when she said it ..... She has been to the Lakes, but no further up ....she wan't said to go to Carlisle etc.

you would enjoy the Castle, fantastic bookshops and some lovely walks around the city. ...some lovely building and reasonable hotels,,,I got a bargain for September

I've actually been ....many years ago ....stayed at a lovely hotel , just outside ....

This was about 27 years ago ....I can't remember what it looked like , but I do remember it had a big conservatory , where the dining bit was ....and they served nouvelle cuisine

Lol....we have to get there by train .....and back the next day .....it's not really an option We fancied the Cotswolds , but that is also too far ....takes two changes and  nearly  four hours
