Can I ask a stoopid question......why do you need it to be that specific length?

I can go with the height and width thing but the length I can't get me head around 

I have a 32 inch flat screen, sky box and lamp ...so it needs to be about 48 inches long 

and it would fit nicely along the bottom of my bed 

But does the Sky box not fit under one side of the TV and you'll have to get a smaller lamp  

no..the TV is too low,,,,,,,, and it's not a big lamp 

You need a bespoke joiner/cabinet maker, That's what you need 

I don't like this, but it's the ideal size
