Nope..........removeable plates. Wipe over with kitchen towel and wash with next dishes

no, I've had two actually and both went to the tip, last one was bought abought 18 month ago and it went the same was as the first ...I just hate all the grease and fat...I prefer the grill

It's angled so the fat runs off
