bangs head..honestly, we have talked about this many times, I think I even posted advice from my energy firm. Timers use more gas, they are heating a room up from scratch, having a constant temp stops your boiler working constantly for two hours. It may only come on for a few minutes to boost the room temp back up again

they would en masse but love looking at them and  trying to recognise the sounds -would like a telescope as well

wouldn't want one in my living room..it would freak me out. I was a member of the RSPB too Ros and the YOS when I was in my teens 

yes  agree neither would I - -TBH it takes me ages to look through binoculars but like the night skies  but I am not good looking at magnified stuff but would have a go-only joined RSPB cos we joined in the great British birdwatch this year- OH was better than me cos I was too cold what is YOS?
