how far away is it? 

Hebburn, three metro stations ride away but it's on an industrial estate that I have to get the bus for I think and then if I've read right I think I have a bit of a walk

Same here Pam, people have to get to Sellafield and a hell of a walk to get on site...wrap up if you get it, it's a job at least and you never know about car sharing until you get there.

Mr Baz worked in London for the first 2 years we were up here ....he used to drive there and back twice a week to come home ......

we've crap transport links Baz...but people manage somehow  where there's a job there's a way 

Yes ....For 12 years I used to get two buses and travel for  an hour and half to get to work

same here for people travelling to sellafield it takes well over an hour and if the west coast train lines flooded they all share cars 

It's funny though....when we first moved here one of the big employers closed , and I was talking to an employee who said he was offered another job ,but  it was the other side of town , so he wouldnt take it

Exactly I was totally shocked ....cos I've always had to travel to work ....i have never worked locally ....except once ...for a short time

off to see Dolly, another one with a chest infection  then off to visit a friend and I need to stock up on cleaning stuff, so early into Workington to pick Leanne up so I have time to dash around the shops  what are you up to Baz, I know what Ros will be doing 

Busy day then I've got no plans .....although I want to try and look for some new storage for study ....so MIGHT go to IKEA
