I've just had to switch IPads .....software update !!! My day was ok ..l

quite busy.....and a bird got into the cooker hood vent  

 and 

shame it wasn't a turkey 

A blue tit was scary enough ..I don't like birds at the best of times !

How was your day....apart from tonight  

it wasn't so bad thanks Baz...but tomorrow  my house looks like a war torn country 

Well luckily we had sealed the inside opening up when we had that ant problem in the summer ....but I could hear something scrabbling around ...lse went outside and got on the ladder to look in .....( one side has a couple of bits missing from the outside cover) and the darn thing suddenly flew out ...right past me ....I nearly fell off the darn steps !!! 

I think its cios the bees have taken over the bird box .....where we usually have blue tits every year !

I know I shouldn't ...but

I was actually relieved that it was only a bliddy bird in there !! 

but they won;t stay...bees only stay in one place a season and move on 

Do they .....I'm sure I read that the queen over winters and then resumes again next year ....

don't think so Baz...we had two last year, one front and one back and I read up on it and it said they only stay a matter of weeks and move on  unless google told me fibs 

Well I will check it out again .....or send Mr B in there to have a look ,

Well we are both right The old queen dies....but the new queens stuff themselves full of food at the end of the summer and then hibernate underground ...

I was going to try and have mine removed by a bee keeper as one was honey bees...but was told it was pointless as they would move on soon. I will let you know if they come back

I'll wait until Ros comes Baz...but will be going early, I have three of them to get ready for school and Sam is normally awake not long after 6
